Terms of Use

Last updated: August 8, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Doot, a service operated by Tambool LLC ("Tambool LLC," "Tambool," "Doot," "we," "us," or "our") that places phone calls to businesses on your behalf using automated, AI-powered voice technology and sends text messages to landlords and tenants to coordinate service — including our website, apps, and messaging interfaces (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What Doot does

Doot lets you make requests in plain language (for example, "call the hardware store and ask if they have impact drivers"). Doot then places one or more outbound telephone calls to businesses on your behalf using an AI voice agent, and reports back what it learned — such as availability, pricing, or scheduling options.

Calls placed by Doot identify themselves as an AI assistant calling on behalf of a user. You direct the calls; Doot carries them out.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for maintaining the security of your account and any connected phone number or messaging channel, and for all activity — including calls placed — that occurs through your account.

4. Acceptable use

Doot places real phone calls to real people. You agree to use the Service only for lawful, good-faith inquiries and transactions. You must not use the Service to:

We may monitor use of the Service for abuse and may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

5. Call recording and transcription

Calls placed by Doot may be recorded and transcribed so that we can report results back to you and improve the Service. Call recording laws vary by jurisdiction — some U.S. states require the consent of all parties to a call.

Your responsibility: by directing Doot to place a call, you are the party initiating that call. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service, including any recording or transcription of calls you direct, is lawful in your jurisdiction and the jurisdiction of the party being called.

6. SMS and text messaging

As part of the Service, a landlord or property manager using Doot ("Landlord") may direct Doot to send text messages to their tenants on the Landlord's behalf — for example, to request availability for a maintenance appointment, confirm or update a scheduled repair, or provide related updates. These messages are sent by Tambool LLC, including by automated systems, but only at the Landlord's direction and on the Landlord's behalf.

Landlord's responsibility: if you are a Landlord using the Service to contact a tenant, you represent and warrant that you have obtained that tenant's consent — written or verbal — to receive text messages about their tenancy and related property matters, including messages sent by Doot on your behalf, before providing their phone number to the Service. Obtaining and documenting that consent is your responsibility, not Doot's; we rely on your representation that it has been obtained.

Recipient choices: message frequency varies based on the Landlord's use of the Service, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of text messages, or reply HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We do not share the mobile information provided through this messaging program with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

7. Accuracy of information; no binding commitments

Doot reports what it heard on a call. Businesses may misspeak, prices may change, inventory may sell out, and AI transcription or summarization may contain errors. Information relayed by Doot — including prices, availability, quotes, and appointment details — is provided for convenience and is not guaranteed to be accurate. Verify important details directly with the business before relying on them.

Unless you explicitly instruct Doot to book or confirm something on your behalf, Doot's calls are informational. Where you do instruct Doot to make a booking or commitment, you are responsible for that commitment as if you had made the call yourself.

8. Doot is not a party to your transactions

Doot connects you with independent businesses and tradespeople. We do not employ, endorse, or guarantee any business Doot calls, and we are not a party to any quote, estimate, booking, purchase, or service agreement between you and a business. Any dispute about work performed, prices charged, or services rendered is between you and that business.

9. Fees

Some features of the Service may be free and others paid. Where fees apply, they will be disclosed before you incur them. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as we expressly state otherwise. We may change our pricing with reasonable notice.

10. Third-party services

The Service is built on third-party providers — including telephony and AI voice providers, SMS providers, and large-language-model providers — to place calls, send text messages, and process requests. Your use of the Service is also subject to the technical limitations of those providers. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or acts of third-party providers or of the telephone/carrier networks that carry calls and messages.

11. Privacy

To provide the Service, we process the requests you send, call recordings and transcripts, text messages, and related account information. We use this information to operate, secure, and improve the Service and do not sell it to third parties. Our Privacy Policy describes this in detail and forms part of these Terms.

12. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Tambool LLC and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms. You retain ownership of the content of your requests; you grant us a license to process that content as needed to provide the Service.

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT CALLS WILL CONNECT, THAT TEXT MESSAGES WILL BE DELIVERED, THAT BUSINESSES WILL ANSWER, THAT INFORMATION OBTAINED WILL BE ACCURATE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

14. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TAMBOOL LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE AND (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50).

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Tambool LLC harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party — including claims arising from calls you direct Doot to place or text messages sent through the Service.

16. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us or others, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections 7, 8, and 12 through 19 survive termination.

17. Changes to the Service and these Terms

The Service is under active development and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time; if we make material changes, we will provide notice (for example, by posting the updated Terms with a new "Last updated" date). Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in [COUNTY, STATE], and you consent to their jurisdiction.
